Getting ready for 2010

Sometimes I wonder why I try to maintain a blog as every year I seem to post less & less.  In keeping with tradition, I've started afresh (to hide my shame) and I'm hoping this will be the year for success / consistency in this.  I freely admit that I'm talking into the ether and in all likelihood, no-one wll read this.  But, it's good discipline and good practice.

Although readng will always reman my first love I've got fairly obsessed about crafting over the past couple of years.  Ravelry is my favourite haunt.  The group I'm most active in s HPKCHC (Harry Potter Knit & Crochet House Cup) and I'll be mentioning it a fair bit.  New classes go up on 1st January and I'm hanging for the term to begin.  The basic structure is each month there are 6 possible classes of which I have to do one.  There's also OWLs (see to-do list) which are a major project supposed to take more than a month.  I tend to get a bt over ambitious with my OWLs, but I'm trying to pull back this term as I'll be moving house.

Another group I joined on Ravelry is '10 in 2010' where you list 10 things to be completed in 2010.  Due to the House Cup, I'm planning on finished many more than that but I'm going to treat it as 10 'middish major' projects.  I've put in at least one large one in the list so far but I'm also including trying out some new techniques.  My second aim with this group is to reduce my WIPs at the end of 2009 to 10 less than at the end of 2009.  At present I have 21 WIPS.  I'll finish off at least one of them this weekend so my target for the end of 2010 is...

To finish the year with a maximum of 10 WIPS.
